Aerial Videography is just the same as Aerial Photography, but with a video camera instead! Aerial Videography is becoming increasingly popular within the wedding industry, perhaps in order to make the persons wedding more unique than their friends. Aerial Videography can add a very special twist to anything, as it gives a completely new perspective on what you are filming and if that is a social event such as a wedding, 
it can make it look even more special. Aerial Videography is useful in the wedding industry because as well as providing new angles it make the filming look much smoother and flexible. However an issue with using Aerial Videography at a wedding is that if you wish your vows to be filmed, there may be some noise coming from the copter – if that is what you are using – which may disrupt the atmosphere. However, many Aerial Videographers have many solutions to this problem so do not be deterred! If you are somebody who wishes to start Aerial Videography as a hobby or profession, hopefully these tips will help you out!
Do not forget that whatever device you are buying is going to have your profession or hobby suspended 20ft + in the air…do not be afraid to go that bit more expensive in order to feel safe! The whole idea of Aerial Videography is to get new heights and angles that normal Videography cannot achieve, and you will not achieve this if you are worried that your camera will fall out of the air.
Again, do not be afraid to buy a bit more of an expensive camera if that is what it takes to get that real crisp clean film. It is worth the extra buck!
Be patient. Aerial Videography can be tricky, it is a completely new situation, what settings work on the ground will not work up high as light works differently so make sure you are adjusting your camera correctly and be prepared to fiddle and adjust the first few times you do it.
Aerial photography is completely different to standard ground photography, anywhere can make a good shot, because it’s a completely new angle so it can look really crisp and original! So go down to your local park or field and mess around with your copter. Just don’t forget, it is illegal to let your aerial vehicle lift off from private or public property however that is all, so just make sure you are making your copter lift off and land on your land (your garden or car) and you will be fine!
